Plan with me 28-3rd/1 & mini stationery haul

Hi lovelies!!

Today my plan with me is going up a bit earlier cause I will be busy tomorrow. I wanted this week’s spread to be girlie and shiny. The way I like it.

My spread

I used my side bar for more general To Dos that cannot go on a specific day. I also used the bottom box for my blogging/ blog post ideas. Saturday and Sunday are a bit empty cause I fill in my planner as the week goes. I added another quote which I thought was fun (31st bottom box). There is a lot of pampering this week as well and of course the 31st/1st is all about dining and dancing. Oh!! In Greece, Santa comes on the 31st :).  Do follow my blog if you want to read more from me. Connect with me on Pinterest/ Twitter/ Instagram

Washi tape is a present a student got me!!  < 3  ❤

All the stickers used are from Michelle and Patch except for the to do label on my sidebar and the little gifts icons on the 31st. They are from Lilly Top stickers. Both of these lovely ladies have given me a coupon code or printable, so check out the planning category for more details.

Pen used is a uni-ball eye fine pilot pen in the colour pink. I have lots of different colours. I love this pen. It does bleed slightly though in the Happy Planner. You can get a set of these pens here.

Stationery haul

Of course I love me some stationery and bought a few stuff this week. I thought I’d share ’em with you guys. Pens with geometric and floral design are from a brand called Yours Truly. Polka dot pencil is from a brand called Moses (? weird name, I know). My planner (this will be my work planner) is from a Greek company. Oh!! Btw I am going to be doing a little giveaway in January. Let me know if you think this planner would be something you are interested in. It has the days in English (and Greek :)).

My new M&S bag: #Blogmas Day 19

So, today I did a bit of Christmas shopping with my mum. She bought her presents and she got me a new bag. I ❤ bags. I am a bag lady :).

This one is from M&S (Limited Edition). You wear it as a crossbody bag. I wanted one of these cause when I travel I prefer cross shoulder bags.

It’s black with silver metallic details (zippers). It is soft. It has three pockets. One is for your phone the other is for I dunno what and a third one is for things you want to keep safe. My purse fits in there.

Bag.jpg

It cost 39 euro but M&S is having a sale in Greece so I got it for 29.

The bag’s tag has the bag code number just in case you want to check this bag out.

So, here’s me new bag. The little things ❤ ❤ that make us happy.

5 books I will be reading during Xmas: #Blogmas Day 8

Blogmas logo

Today’s post is going to be about books that I have purchased over the months and plan to read during my holidays. I will be off work from the 23rd of December till the 7th of January (Yup! Perks of being a teacher ❤  ). My book choices are more ‘girlie lovey dovey, so if you are into that keep reading, if you are not, well sowie folks (but will you subscribe to my blog anyway? < 3 ), I guess this one is not for you.

So here is my list. I have added the links to Amazon (affiliate links) in case you are intrigued, in spendy mood, or just wanna read with me and have a book… chat?

Daniel Levitin The organised mind

OK! I am kinda cheating here. I have already read up to page 40. This book is about how we can think straight in the age of information overload. Levetin explains “why smart organisation improves our memory, our attention spam and even our imagination”. Random fact I read in this book so far:

When your brain says that you are looking for your red sweater, your eye’s red cones (the cones that see re) are more alert and block the rest of the colour cones/neuron thingies, which makes it easier to spot/remember where the red is (or something along those lines). I am colour blind, so I have an excuse to not remember where something read is and a reason to remember this random piece of info.

For more information and a bit of shopping press here.

Graeme Simsion The Rosie Project

Again, I have read a bit of this book. It is about luv (of course) and the ‘science’ of it. It tells the story of a handsome geneticist who is searching for the perfect partner. He even makes a questionnaire. It’s fun. I have giggled quite a bit (the hero in the story is clueless :P). You can get the book here.

I got this one but never read it, so now is the time!!

Bridget Jones Mad about the boy Helen Fielding.

Yeah, well, gotta read up on my Bridget adventures!! Not saying anything about this one. You can get this one here.

All the bright places by Jennifer Nivan

I guess this one is for younger readers, but I thought it would be interesting. It’s about a youngster who wants to die and a girl who wants to save him. So, lovey dovey with a bit of drama. You can get this one here.

Books.jpg

Finally, a historical novel.

Suzannah Dunn The Queen’s Sorrow

This book is about Mary Tudor and her marriage to Philip the Prince of Spain. She wants to be close to him, he ignores her and then England suffers.  I have already read a couple of books by Dunn and I really enjoyed them , so I am sure this will be interesting as well. You can get the book here.

So, this is on my list for my break and some of the books I am reading now.  Follow my blog so you never ever miss a post from meeeee. I am @mypinkrambles on Twitter and Instagram so connect with me there and check out my pinterest board for stuff I pin.Noemie from Down the rocky road wrote her list of Christmas books. You can check it out here.

Ok!!!I am shutting up now. Have a lovely day/evening. Talk to you tomorrow. If you have any suggestions for more lovey/ chick lit or light reads, please leave a comment and I will check it out.

Thanks for stopping by!

#Blogmas Day 5: A lot of something(s)

Blogmas logo

So, today I am going to share with you a few something(s) I did, bought, read and so on today.

Something I did

I got my hair done. Dark blonde with lighter highlights. I am set for the holidays.

Something I bought

Yeap, pay day was a few days ago and I went to H& M (again). I got a sweater, some Christmas-y earrings, a ponpon for my bag and a pink shimmer dust ( I did not need this, but it looks great on my vanity).

20151205_192744.jpg

Something I read

Did you know that people are drawn to glitter because of our innate need to search for water (water/streams have a shine to them)? Did you know that Xmas is written  with an X because of the Greek word Χριστός  which means Christ and starts with an X? I have found a website called mental floss which I really enjoy reading. It is full of random and unnecessary info, but I ❤ reading it. Check it out here.

Something I know

Who won America’s next top model (well technically I don’t know yet, but by the time I hit publish I will know).

Ok gotta go now!!

See you tomorrow. Feel free to tell me what you did today. Remember to follow this blog or connect with me on Twitter or Instagram (@mypinkrambles).Thanks for storrping by ❤

See you tomorrow!!

What did I get from H&M? Makeup, a knit and some bling

Last Friday was payday. Yeap, yeap. And Jo (that’s me) was a happy shopper. I had spent the previous evening catching up on my favourite YouTubers  who were talking about makeup and all that jazz, so I decided I’d go to H&M and see what all the fuss about the new makeup line was. I went to the H&M store in my town and started looking around. I did a bit of damage, but not tooooooo much. So what did I get?

Makeup

I got a couple of stuff. I bought two cream eye shadows; one is called Shy Violet (light purple) and the other one is called Countess (gold/brown-ish). I also got a blusher in the colour apricot and a lipstick called Fareham Brick (burgundy). All the colour descriptions are based on what other people say, cause I am colour blind and always need help when I am getting makeup, especially since makeup companies, H&M included, insist on giving makeup colours random names instead of calling it burgundy! Welcome to my world :(.

makeup with colour

Mini -review: The lipstick stays on for quite a while, but you do need to have it with you to reapply, especially if you eat or drink something. The eye creams don’t crease or budge. It actually took a while to take off. They do have a bit of fall out though. At least Countess does.  The blusher is kinda ‘weak’ . Don’t know how I feel about it yet.

Bling

I got two necklaces which I might even layer.

HM22

Blouse

I got a polka dot knit. It is nice and soft. The back is a bit longer than the front and there is also a little zipper in the back. It looks really nice.

20151104_090108

And because I like to be practical here are the tags of the Polka dot blouse and the two cream eye shadows. You can ask the people in H&M to  tell you where these items are (the 1st tag is for the knit. The other two are for the necklaces).

UntitleH&M Tags

I paid about 70 euros for everything. Knit was 20, necklaces around 12 and the rest was on the makeup.

Oh! Do follow/subscribe to my blog if you enjoyed this post. Give it a thumbs up (aka ‘like’) if you liked it. Let me know in the comments section below if you have tried the makeup or anything else I shared with you today. So, that’s all lovelies!! Happy shopping  ❤

What did I get from M & S? An itsy bitsy haul

I am going to Barcelona in November and will be presenting at a conference, so I was looking for something nice and serious (it’s a teacher conference). So, I went to Marcs and Spencer. I bought 3 blouses (all thin woolen) and I am sharing them here with you today in case you are looking for something similar.

Zigzag top

It is a long blouse (it goes below the bum. Am I allowed to say bum in a blog post? :p) and it is low cut in the front, so you probably need to wear something on the inside. I am going to pair it with a nice necklace and then I am sorted for outfit number one.

stripes

Black blouse

Now, the picture is not doing this one any justice. The lace details on the side and the fact that the back of the blouse is of another material (like a shirt) is what made me buy this one. And anyway, you always need a black blouse, don’t you?

black top

Bright Orange blouse

I thought a nice pop of colour would look great, so I got this. It is a nice soft wool and something I will definitely get a lot of wear out of.

cropped orange

Now because I like to be practical, I have taken a picture of the codes of these tops, so if you like them or want to check them out, all you need to do is show the tag and a lovely lady at M & S will help you find it.
