I went to Wilkos the other day and went straight to the Essence stand.
Essence is a brand I discovered when I was in Germany. Very affordable with good quality products.
I had heard a few YouTubers comment on how amazing the metallic eyeyshadows were. My Wilkos had some, so I bought some. Then my friend showed the Roses palette, which she had bought, and of course, I got eyeshadow envy and bought that as well.
I needed a new nail varnish. Tick. And finally, I repurchased my beloved lash princess mascara.
I also picked up a few products from Revlon and Maybelline. Anyways! Where am I going with this? Well, my Youtube channel has a video where I show you all these products and there is also a Giveaway! Open internationally. Ends 25/4. If you want to enter, head over to my channel and watch my video!
I do not know about you, but I find intricate makeup looks quite hard when you wear glasses. You see, I am partially sighted and colour blind, but I love makeup! That is why my makeup looks are more focused on keeping it simple, blended with a nice lip.
I pay a lot of attention to my base and aim for a glowy, natural look.
in order to achieve a lovely look, I get my skin prepped. I use my serums and moisturisers and make sure that my skin is nice and smooth.
One of the foundations I have been using quite a lot and love because it is very dewy, is the Nyx Born to Glow foundation. I think this foundation is not getting enough TLC online and if you have not tried it, you really should.
This foundation is a semi thick liquid. Not too runny, but not too thick. It goes on the skin effortlessly and looks like skin. You do not look like you are plasterd. I love it.
Another foundation I have been using and loving, is the Elf CC cream. A CC cream is not exactly a foundation. It has some coverage, but not too much. I think this one works well to correct pigmentation and make your skin look really nice and natural as well.
Out of the two, I think that if you are going for a dewy look, check out the Nyx one, if you want a good coverage CC cream, go for the Elf one. Both are around 10 pounds and have good lasting power. I would say around 8 hours. My skin is quite sensitive, but it has handled both foundations well.
Bronzer and Blusher
Moving on from foundation, I use a powder bronzer (currently using the Hourglass Ambient powder) and then I use blush. I always wear blush. I use my foundation to cover redness and then blush to bring back colour! Ironic, I know.
I keep my eyes simple. I usually use one shade all over the lid.
Lipstick is where I go all cray cray. The bright lip is what I usually go for. Drawing attention to my lips is what I do when I wear my glasses. My favourite lippies are from Max Factor (the Elixir line) and from Clinique (Pop)
Get ready with me: Glowy Look
Some background. I am 45 with redness on my cheeks and some pigmentation. My skin is dry and sensitive. I filmed a glowy get ready with me video on my channel. If that is something you are interested in, please check my channel out and maybe even subscribe to it.
How has what is in your everyday handbag been affected by Covid? My handbag contents have changed ever since that spikey little ball entered our lives and lockdown eased.
What is my bag?
I bought this lovely pale pink cross body bag from Amazon for sixteen pounds. It has loads of compartments and fits loads and some more.
What is in my bag?
My phone which has such a pretty case (it also serves as a purse) is one of the first things I check and chuck into my bag (oh by the way, most of the things I mention are linked in my videos’ description box… Yeah… There is a video).
I have a little makeup pouch. In it I keep a clinique lippie, my Anthelios sun screen and my Maybelline Age rewind. These are the things that I take with me if I am not planning on going out for drinks and stuff!
An umbrella. We are in the UK. It rains.
My white stick coz, well, I use it to help me navigate and to let people know I cannot see.
My keys, paracetamol, my baby aspirin, a little mirror, a perfume.
Not sure if I forgot anything, but please watch my video for the whole video. Also, trying to reach 500 subscrbers, so if you like what you watch, please subscribe.

Today’s post is looking at one of my favourite planner layouts so far. I created a silver and gold layout which I think is so pretty and I am really happy with! I used stickers I got from the Range, a botanics craft paper and some skinny washi tape. The planner I am using is my happy planner.
You can check out how I made my spread by clicking on the video link. Here are some photos to start with
The thing about this spread is that I filmed a plan with me on the wrong week! That is why I used it for memory keeping.
I just received the May 2020 Look Fantastic beauty Box and I am really happy. You get all these lovely products (which you can see in my video) and may I say that I love this box. Compared to the Glossybox, I prefer it.
This box had a makeup microfibre cleansing cloth
A moisturiser that retails for 100 pounds!!
A borw gel
A lip balm
a Korres Face mask (I love Korres!!)
You should check out my video if you want a detailed show and tell. In my video I also tell you my thoughts about the products from the previous box and how much usage I got out of them!!
You can use my Look fantastic refferal Code to get a discount off your first box
Sorry this blog post is short and not that amazing, but i am tired. Hope you have time to watch my video and check out this amazing box!
When I first received this packet of washi tape, I was not that sure that I would be using it especially as everything looked so similar. Then I decided to make a spread using only washi tape. The one I am using is this one Multi Pattern decorative washi tape (shown in the pictures above).
The spread turned out really nice. I am so pleased with it.
This is my video. If you like what you see, please give it a thumbs up.
