Garnier Micellar Water VS Micellar Gel

Hi everyone,
Today I am going to talk about two products from the same brand. I like them both, but one is my all time favourite and it actually made me stop purchasing the other. So, what’s the difference between the Gernier Micellar Water and Gel? Don’t worry. I am not going

Consistency

Well, the first obvious difference is the consistency. One is a water and one is a gel.
How does that affect me? I use more micellar water than I need to because it spills more easily. The gel is easier to control.

Application

I use cotton to apply the water. I actually use a couple of cotton pads to remove all my makeup. The gel has a pump, the water doesn’t. Gel: I use two pumps of the gel and everything, I say everything (yes, even mascara) comes off.

Skin Types

I have used both the sensitive skin  and the normal combination both were fine for me. I did not notice a difference.

Sizes

Water 700 ml, 400 ml and 125ml
Gel: 200 ml.
Unfortunately there is no travel friendly option.

Which one do I prefer and recommend?

The gel. It is better value for money and much more effective. You can get it here.

A day at Chatsworth: House of Style and the gardens

A while ago I went to Chatsworth and loved it. It is about 40 minutes from Sheffield and the place where Pride and Prejudice was filmed. I visited the house and the gardens and made a short video. You can watch it here.

Thanks for watching.

Boosting productivity: choosing the RIGHT Planner for You

tag

Hi everyone,

It is June and in June/ July lots of companies release their new planners/ agendas. You can find planners that start in July 2017 and end december 2018. I ❤ planners and have used many throughout the years. I made a video for my YouTube channel where I talk about these planners and say what I like about them and what worked did not work. I will also link at the end of this post planer suggestions (July2017/ December 2018).

Here is my video

Some suggestions (affiliate links included. Some affiliate links have cookies).
Colour Crush binder:

I am using this binder. I like it cause it is very versatile. I can take it anywhere. I can make it as big or as small as I want. I choose the sections and it is very customisable.

Amazing L’oreal cream for Dry/ Sensitive Skin (Hydra Genius)

Hi lovelies,

If you use Clinique moisture surge, keep reading. If you have dry, sensitive skin, keep reading. If you are interested in making your skin look nice and soft, then I am your girl.

Today I am going to review (and rave about) my new skincare obsession

❤ ❤

I think I found a dupe for Clinique Moisture Surge or at least something which has the the same amazing results as my lovely moisturising cream.

What is it?

L’oreal Hydra Genius

LOREAL

My skin is old and sensitive. I have rosacea and dry patches. Sometimes the dry patches can be seen cause like skin sticks out. My skin pulls and it ain’t fun. I am always on the look for creams that make my skin feel nice and soft. I used this product before I went to bed. In the beginning it stung for like two seconds (also watch the try on in my youtube video), but it was nothing that was painful. After a few seconds my skin absorbed it and it felt really nourishing and moisturising. My skin was soft and smooth the next day. Now I use it whenever I have a shower and wash my hair/ face or whenever my skin feels dry.

According to L’oreal, this is the

Liquid Care for Dry/ Sensitive skin.

Packaging/ Product info

This cream has aloe and hyaluronic acid. Both of these ingredients are great for hydration. It is 70ml and you can get it by clicking here.

I recommend you check this out if,

You Have dry/ sensitive skin

You like Clinique Moisture surge (this is a more affordable version).

Do watch my skin care Try on Video. I test the Hydra Genius in Real time.

Thanks for stopping by. Have you tried this product?

Drugstore mini haul & reviews: Liquid lippies, mascara and hair products

Hi everyone!!

Today I am going to talk about a few products I picked up from the drugstore. I bought some lip creams, a hair spray, an oil and a mascara. I have tried them out so I can tell you my initial thoughts. Let’s start with the repurchase!

Bourjois Volume Reveal mascara

I like this mascara cause it makes my lashes look bigger, blacker and longer. It is easy to apply, it does not start falling onto your face after a few hours and it is comfortable on the eyes. Is it the best mascara I have ever used? No, but for the price and for a mascara, I am happy with the result, hence the repurchase. At Boots, Bourjois had the 3 for 2 Sale, so I got the mascara. This sale led me to my other 2 purchases.

Mascara

Why? Coz Boots had the 3 for 2 Sale going on, so I HAD TO get some more products…..

Bourjois Lip Lacquer in 01 Majes Pink

This is a shiny lip cream. The colout according to reviews is a peachy/ rose. My friend said that on me it did not look peachy at all. It was more of a pink/ rose/ majenta colour. The result is nice and pretty but it was so hard to apply. I hated it. It looked patchy in the beginning and it was not a lippie I slapped n and then was out of the door. Do I recommend it? If you don’t mind taking a while to apply a lippie, sure, otherwise forget it. It was quite long lasting but after coffee and some biscuits it had vanished. I am not really bothered by that though cause I don’t want a lippie that never, eva goes away.

Bourjois Velvet (liquid lippie) in Nude-ist.

Now you’re talking. This is a soft, buttery liquid lipstick. It is long lasting. The colour is nude (browny-pink). It’s a visible nude, not a nude you do not notice. This gets a big thumbs up. Love the feeling (you can see swatches and how all these lippies wear in my video linked down below).

Lippies

MAC Retro Liquid lipstick in Back in Vogue

OK, so when I first tried this, I hated it. It spread all over my lips and was YUCK. But…. I tried it again, used less product, and REALLY like it. It is the most long lasting out of all the lippies I got. It is also the most drying of the bunch. I will say though that I like the way it looks on my lips, so it’s OK that it feels a bit drying. Back in Vogue was described to me as a peach/ neutral/ nude (you can see swatches and how all these lippies wear in my video linked down below).

Tresemme Hair spray- Volume and lift

It’s a hairspray. You do your hair, your spray, and done. It does hold my ”volume” and it also tangles my hair and is a pain to brush out. I do like the hold though.

I bought a few bits and bobs, so if you are interested in checking out how the lippies held and what they looked like, as well as my thoughts on the other things I got, do check out my video linked below.
