One Brand Focus: E. l. f

Hi lovelies,

I have another one brand focus post/ video for you. This time I am focusing on the brand E.l.f. I have gathered a few products from them and can tell you what has worked for me and what hasn’t. On the whole, I like E.l.f because most of the products have worked for me, it is affordable and they are cruelty free which is another bonus!

In this blog post, I briefly give you a run down (in my video, I share more details– shameless plug, I know, right?)

What have I used?

Brushes

Well, brushes. About 5. Brushes for da eyes, face, cheeks. My favourite brush is their blusher brush. When I first got it, I was a bit intimidated because, well, I got a lot of product all over my face. Now, I am careful and I like the brush. In my video, which is linked later on, I show you all my E.l.f brushes.
Eye shadows
I have loads of eye shadow sticks, but my fave is the no budge eye shadow stick from E.l.f. I have all the shades. My faves are rose gold and Moca. They are very creamy, easy to use, and long lasting.
Lip oils
I like the E.l.f lip oils, but they are not my faves. They are quite affordable, and make your lips look juicy. They are not very pigmented though and they do get a bit sticky.
Powders
I have the under eye high definition powder which is supposed to be used under your eyes (really??) to set the foundation/ concealer in that area. It’s a powder. It does not really sink into my fine lines, but then again, I do not really have any. It is fine and the beauty community thinks it’s really nice!
Concealer
The winner for me though is the E.l.f camo concealer. It is affordable, long lasting, and has coverage. I bought one that would help with brightening. Rally like it!!
Duds?
Yes, there are a few. I bought one of their star dust glitter eyeliners (shown in video) and I could not use it for two reasons. Firstly, I am not good at applying eyeliner and the applicator is a bit flimsy. That does not help eyeliner dummies like me. Also, it was not very pigmented. It was a bit…. runny??
Will I chuck it? Nope. I will use it as an eye shadow topper. You know, the middle bit of your eyelid area (where you may add some shimmer from time to time).

What E.l.f products have you tried and what did you think? Do let me know in the comments below. Do check out my video and subscribe to my channel if you like what you see (trying to grow and it is so hard!!!).

Thanks for stopping by…
xx
p.s. this is my previous one brand focus video/ post. Here I focus on Clinique.

H&M clothes & accessories haul

Hi lovelies,

I did a bit of shopping from H& M, so I thought I’d show you what I got along with my Get Ready with me video.

But first, what did I get?

Jewelry

I got this lovely chunky pearl earring. I think they look really nice paired with a nice spring knit or blouse. They can transform your outfit into something really glam.

Layered (-ing) necklaces

So, shell fish-y hangy stuff are all over the place. I got this necklace that is da embodiment of summer. It will look great with a V neck. You can wear it on it’s own or with other pieces.

I also got a necklace with a small circle hanging on it. I think that looks really chic.

Clothes

A wide leg pair of smart trousers. I have bought more classic looking trousers from H&M before and they are great value for money. Have washed my winter pair many times and they are still a great fit. This pair is more lightweight. The only thing I do not love about them is that they are quite high waisted.

Snake Print shirt

I ❤ animal print. Most of the things I have are leopard print. That is why I bought my first snake print shirt. Ideal for going out. What do you think?

Light (knit) blouses

At 8.99 I got three. A white, a pink and a black blouse. I made the mistake of buying the pink one in XLarge and it is quite big. I bought the others in Large. They are nice and soft, a bit baggy, the sleeves do not drown you and I 😍 them. Great basics for Spring 🌹🌷🌹

I also got this pretty hair tie which is very on trend at the moment. I really like this and it does make my hair look a bit more put together.

Now time for the Tube…

YouTube

My YouTube video is me showing you my work outfit. I wear the pink blouse, another H&M wide leg trouser, the necklace and makeup… On my face. And since I am talking about makeup, my look is a very easy everyday makeup look.

Thanks for stopping by. Don’t forget to follow my bog.

Till next time….

Curvy gal fashion

Hi lovelies!!

It has been a while since I sat and wrote a blog post.

To be honest, I am not actually sitting, I am tucked in bed, drinking coffee and thinking about clothes. Yeap.

That is why I am writing my blog post today. Let’s talk about fashion. Buying clothes.

My size

I am a UK 16, but that fluctuates, depending on the store and the clothing item. For trousers, I usually buy 16-18 (H&M or M&S), for tops I can wear 14-16. I usually buy clothes that are large or extra large.

YouTube

I have filmed a few videos about clothes and styling and I will share them here coz of course I am going to shame. Essly plug my channel.

So my glam Get Ready with me featuring zara leopard print and pearls

A Prinark haul try on

Curvy gal Get Ready With Me ❤❤

Hi Lovelies,

Being a 16+ can make it a bit hard to shop. Today, I am sharing with you a glam get ready with me for the curvy gal like me. I filmed a video where I show you the complete look. Clothes and makeup. Some bits and bobs are shared in this post, but loads of info is in the video.

My Clothes

You can get the trousers here. (affiliate link)

I love these trousers. They are wide leg and very easy to style. They have proper pockets. The material is like a soft pair of jeans with some sort of cloth in it. It does not crease. I loved it so much, I bought another colour (wine).

(Some of) My Makeup

Makeup revolution foundation: Love it. It is not drying if you put on moisturiser and primer. It gives a flawless base look.
Rimmel Wild Card blusher: My winter blusher. It needs blending. Do not go in heavy handed.
Rodial mascara: Too expensive. There are others that do the same job.

This is my Get Ready with me Video. I kinda like the final look 😍 (toot toot).

What do you think? If you are a curvy gal like me, what are your fave shops for buying clothes? Let me know in the comment below.

Till next time lovelies…..

October faves:Beauty & Random

Hi everyone!!

Time for October Faves. I posted a YouTube video where I talk a lot about what I like about these products, but I also thought I’d share a blog post, cause well, I haven’t written one in forever.

So, what did I love in October?

Beauty

The lips

No7 Lippie
There is a problem here. I cannot tell you the name of the colour because I am colourblind and cannot read black on reddish backgrounds. I am including a photo though and you do see it in my video. I love this lippie because it is quite long lasting and moisturising. It is not patchy, quite affordable (10 pounds) and autumnal. The colour I have is a reddish brown.

Mua lip lacquers
They have been around forever. They are very affordable (3 quid!). The shades I have are not patchy. My faves are Poise and Tranquility which are both nude tones (video with a full review is coming next on my channel-shameless plug).

The eyes

I have two stylos I like. Kiko 06 (which is a shimery bronze/ brown I think) and Elf no budge stylo in Moca. That is a rich brown. They are both long lasting and very easy to apply. If you are partially- sighted like me and only use eye stylos, you defo need to check these out cause they are very affordable.

The perfume

Clinique aromatics in white. If you like powdery scents, you should check this out. Some of my other Faves are Chanel Mademoiselle, Escada Notes and Jo Malone blush suede (trying to give you a sense of the perfumes of what I love).
perf

The Blush

I am currently using using Rimmel maxi Blush in wild card. It is a red-y blush. If you go in heavy handed, you are……. But if you tap off excess and blend it a bit, it is nice.
Capture

The foundation

There has been a lot of talk about the Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define foundation. I personally really like it. It is medium coverage. The application is very easy, it is quite long lasting, easy to spread. It does not show my lines or sink into them. I do moisturise well though underneath it. It is what I am wearing in my video (and pic. Actually, I am wearing a lot of these products in my video).

Random faves

Oh! Do I have a selection of random goodies for you. Swizzel lollies. I am addicted and I should not be!!!!! So yummy…. and bad. Another random? I bought a re usable shopping bag from Primark (did a massive haul from Primark if you wanna check it out). It has polka dots and the lots. So nice and practical (and one quid!).

So there you have it. What were your faves? let me know in the comments below. Do check out my YouTube channel. I ain’t that bad….
Thanks for stopping by.
