I am sooooo busy this week. Trying to juggle work, life and making videos. I just posted a video about my skincare faves and because it is almost bedtime and you want something to watch before you
zzzzzzzz
Here you go. Check out my skincare faves if you are in your 40s, have sensitive skin, have a bit of rosacea or just love watching skincare type videos. I talk about face and body. I mention well known products and other not so well know products.
OK and I am 5 subscribers away from 200 (sooooo pls watch and subscribe :))
Yesterday was colour blind awaress day and I tried to do that. Raise awareness. The main focus was on students who are colour blind, but I did post a video about my whole makeup application process and what I, as an achromat, find difficult.
Struggling
Foundation/concealer
I cannot pick a shade for my skin. Whatever I use is based on what a makeup artist or sales assistant has chosen for me. I am OK with that. They are helpful. I can see if the foundation/ concealer is full or medium coverage, but I cannot see if it goes orange, if it is a cool or warm undertone.
Eye shadows
I cannot see the colours. I mean, I can see them, but not really “see” them the way you do. That is why I have ranted over and over about cosmetics companies and how they name their products. I need a clear colour name. Dark brown, light shimmery pink. What I do not need is a name like showery rainbow or unicorn breathe. That says nothing to me. It does not help me buy an eye shadow and in all fairness, it drives me away from purchasing a product with a random name. Now, as far as pigmentation is concerned, the lighter the shade, the harder it is for me to see it on my eyelid.
Lippies
Same as above. I have no idea what I am buying
But
I can see if it looks nice on me, or at least I think I can.
If you want to hear more about this, do watch my video, where I also talk about cb students and teachers.
and you want to go out, but you are dreading the whole makeup putting on procedure.
You just do not want your makeup to melt off coz of the humidity and the heat. That is what this blog post is here for. I will try to give you my suggestions/tips on how to achieve a sweatproof makeup look.
Top tips
Keep it simple.
Make sure you use a moisturiser first.
Do not stack loads of stuff on.
I use only concealer to hide spots. If you use a foundation, use something lightweight.
Top your concealer with a powder. That will clog up your pores and reduce the sweating.
Use a waterproof mascara and no budge eye stuff.
Now, because I am also making YouTube videos and trying to lure you into subscribing to my channel, here is my makeup tutorial or better say, get ready with me. Keep in mind I am partially sighted so any makeup look that does not make me look like a clown is a little feat!!
My video
Get ready with me:how to get a sweat proof looking using only concealer.
Products used in my makeup look
Estee Lauder doublewear concealer
Dior forever Control Powder
Stilla liquid Eyeshadow in Grace
Benefit Gold Rush Blusher
Laura Mercier Bronzer
Rimmel Stay matte liquid lipstick in Rose a shine
Mascara Extatic
I think that was about it. Don’t forget to connect with me. Subscribing to my channel would be great.
Sometimes you just want a quick and easy makeup look. Something that you can apply and be ready in 5 mins. Other times it is just too hot or you are just too lazy and don’t feel like a full face of products. That is why I filmed this video and why I am sharing this post.
I am sharing with you a makeup look that requires no foundation.

Products used
(ummmm what I remember….)
Estee Lauder Doublewear concealer. I love this concealer. It is long lasting and easy to blend into your skin. I also used my SPF which is Clinique city block. I like this sunscreen because it is a little bit tinted, but not much!
I used a Laure Mercier bronzer in 02 and my Becca Opal highlighter. I used my Benefit gold rush blush and on my lips, the Rimmel Stay Matte liquid lippie in Rose Shine.
On the eyes an eyeshadow stick (my faves are the Clinique chubby sticks) and some mascara (currently using L’oreal Paradise).
So I filmed a video. It explains my situation and my first world problem. Makeup. But imagine. Imagine if you could not see colours. Are you there? Is your vision black and white? Add some grey.
Now pick up the eye shadow. It is called sunset dream. Will you buy it?
That is my issue.
I shared this pic
My tweet said,
When you are colourblind, this is how you roll……
I tagged some makeup brands. Kiko Milano was the only brand that got back to me. At least they replied saying that they will take my feedback into consideration.
C’mon makeup brands. Be aware.
You are supposed to be inclusive.
I tried, but I am just one person and I need help.
You get me. You love makeup like me….
This is my story. This is my video.
Thanks for watching. I hope you can share the video. Maybe even tweet it. Tag a makeup brand.
It is Friday (it was when I started writing this) and it is time for my 5 Friday Faves Youtube Video (and a promotional blog post which aims to get you to watch my video and maybe even subscribe to my channel coz I am trying to grow and no one really subs 😩😩). So, enough with the rambling. What are my faves?

Marks and Sparks
The scent of 🌹 🌹🌹 and it is my favourite. I bought the Rose 3 in 1 spray. You can use it on your body, for your room, and linen. I know that sound weird, but I like it and I 💗 the scent.
Primark
I bought a couple of fake flowers from Primark and my friend commented saying how nice they looked. I really like them. Great decor for shelves and stuff.
My Cane
This is a weird one, but I needed a warning cane. I now have one, and my life is much easier!Having a vision impairment is hard. Accepting that you need help is hard. Getting help is great though.

So initially I shared this video on Friday and I called it five Friday faves. Catchy title, right? I never got round to writing a blog post though, so here I am on a Sunday at 8 p.m. blogging.
Back story
I ❤ favourites (videos), but I always forget to film one or have too many faves. That is why I started filming my Friday faves. They haven’t really become very popular (then again none of my videos have :P), but I do enjoy chatting about faves and I will do so here as well.
I have not finished reading this book but it is so much fun. It is about a lonely, kinda awkward gal who shares her stories. You should check it out. According to Reese Witherspoon (www.amazon.com)
“Beautifully written and incredibly funny, Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine is about the importance of friendship and human connection. I fell in love with Eleanor, an eccentric and regimented loner whose life beautifully unfolds after a chance encounter with a stranger; I think you will fall in love, too!” —Reese Witherspoon
Chubby Sticks
Of course I am going to go on about the Clinique Chubby Sticks. I love them. If you are partially sighted, like me, or a newbie makeup gal, you should check them out.
I have the lilac, brown, pink and beige/gold. They retail for about 17 pounds. I have had them forever. Nice creamy and they do not crease. Strongly recommend lovelies!!!See below the full colour range.
Lovely oil which I use on my hair and …… (wait for it) elbows. It smells very lightly and is not oily… for an oil. It leaves my hair feeling nice and soft. I only use a little bit on the ends. It does not leave my hair greasy. I really think this product is underrated. It has also helped my elbows soften a bit. A little bit goes a long way.

Sephora Beautifying Mist
Spritz spritz and you wake up without wrecking your makeup. Is that enough?
Lush Sleepy body lotion
It is supposed to help you sleep. I cannot comment on that. It does smell nice though and does seem to help me relax.
OK now if you want more details on these products and are bored (wanting to watch something), then check out my video!!!

How are you? I hope you are having a lovely week. In today’s post I am going to share a new YouTube video idea I had. It is called 3 Tuesday Thoughts and I review 3 well known products and tell you what I think about them.
🌻🌻🌻🌻3 Products 🌻🌻🌻🌻
In today’s video I talk about Estee Lauder Doublewear which is my Go To foundation if I want a budge proof foundation and a porcelaine skin effect. I 😍 this foundation and in the video I show you how I apply it (sponge vs. brush) and what I think works.
I talk about the Stilla liquid eyeshadow in Grace. Are they worth the hype? Yes! They are opaque and stay on for a long time. I 😍 it (more details in the video -toot toot).
I finally talk about lip oils and my favourite Clarins one. It is the Instant light lip comfort Oil. The colour I have is a kinda orange. I tell you why I like it and swatch it.
If you are interested in these products, click on the video and check out for yourself. Let me know how thesebeauty products work for you. If you are looking for a new channel to watch, check out mine.
I thought I’d share with you another Five Friday Faves post video. What is Five Friday Faves? Well, I talk about Five random things I have been loving. I talk about makeup, skincare, books, clothes and more.
So, let’s start.
1. Oasis
I love shopping from Oasis and I picked up two things during the sales; a bag and a top.
The bag has leather details, stripes, and a big bow. It has some pockets inside. It is a “chuck in everything bag”. I use mine to go shopping and stuff like that.
I also bought a lilac top. It is very lightweight material. The cute thing about it are the sleeves. They look like they are lace. So pretty.
2. Kefir Quark
I am a mac n’cheese kinda girl cause well it is quite hard to sustain this bod 😜. From time to time though, I slip off the unhealthy bandwagon and try something healthier. I bought my first (and not last) Kefir quark. I got it because I was looking for something good for my stomache (it is ideal if you are on antibiotics). I got the chia and raspberry flavour. It tastes a bit like a sour Greek yoghurt. It is thick and a bit sour. The seeds make it taste a bit yummier. I also add weetabix to mine and it makes a yummy filling brecki.
3. Olay Serum
So, full name is Olay anti-wrinkle 2 in 1 firm and lift booster and serum. It comes with a pump. It is a serum you can use before your moisturiser or under your makeup. It does plumpen up your skin. It is for women 40+. It does not break me out or sting. I usually wear it at night and in the morning my skin feels nice and soft.
4. Summer at Rose Island (by Holly Martin)
Time for some chick lit. Girl meets boy in a British UK seaside resort. There is a lighthouse. It has all that are essential for a big love story. I like it because it is funny and fast paced. A page turner coz it is fun.
5. Clinique Chubby Stick in
I have mentioned my chubby sticks over and over. They are so easy to use. I am partially sighted (I cannot see) , so it is very easy to mess up my eye makeup. These eyeshadow sticks are very easy to control. The pigmentation is quite good. The application is super easy. It spreads evenly and does not really crease (unless you colour your lids in too much and then, yes, after a while, it may crease). I have a couple of shades, but the one I reach for most often is Fuller Fudge.
So, you can now watch my video where I talk about these faves in more detail (maybe even subscribe to my channel?? 😍😍).
Have you tried any of these products? What are your Friday faves? Let me know in the comments below. Don’t forget to “follow” my blog (or Youtube channel), so that you never miss out on my super duper rambles.
