Hi lovelies,
I thought I’d give my favourite lippie a shout out today. I am a lipstick hoarder. I love lippies. The brighter, the better, especially if it is summer. The product I am going to talk about is the
Let’s start with what others say……….
This lipstick according to amazon,
Actively moisturises for smoother, full lips (vs bare lips)
Rich colour lipstick infused with moisture
Works overtime for smoother-looking lips in 7 days
A blend of 60 percent emollients, conditioners and antioxidants including vitamin E
Colour Elixir Lipstick gives you smooth, soft lips with gorgeous colour.
According to the Max Factor UK website,
Achieve smoother, fuller-looking lips with Colour Elixir Lipstick. The conditioning formula glides on effortlessly for soft, moisturised lips while delivering vibrant lip colour in an instant. – 16 intense shades – Super-conditioning ingredients: vitamin E, shea, avocado and aloe butters – Smoother, fuller-looking lips
How to Apply: Step 1: For extra fullness, etch around the lip line and cupid’s bow with Colour Elixir Lip Liner before applying lipstick.
Step 2: Veil lips in your shade of Colour Elixir Lipstick.
Step 3: Blot with a tissue then reapply to intensify your shade.
So let’s see what I think about it.
Does it make the lips softer? Smoother? Juicier (dare I say).
Yup. Yup and yup. So nice and creamy. Light weight. Like a balm but not as balmy if that makes sense. It conditions your lips.
Is it easy to apply?
Yes. If it gets a bit smudged, you do not have to take hours to take it off (this applies to darker shades.
Vibrant lip colour?
Cannot talk about all the shades, but the ones I have (bewitchening coral and pink brandy) are bright and very pigmented. Not patchy.
Does it make lips look fuller?
Dunno….. They do look nicer and healthier.
Have you blotted your lips with tissue paper?
Nope. On the list though!
Now my own rambles
I would compare this to my other fave lippie… Clinique Pop.
I would not call it a long lasting lippie.
Not matte, but not glossy either. Somewhere in the middle.
Price is affordable especially when you can get the 3 for 2 offer.

Hi lovelies,
I have another one brand focus post/ video for you. This time I am focusing on the brand E.l.f. I have gathered a few products from them and can tell you what has worked for me and what hasn’t. On the whole, I like E.l.f because most of the products have worked for me, it is affordable and they are cruelty free which is another bonus!
In this blog post, I briefly give you a run down (in my video, I share more details– shameless plug, I know, right?)
Brushes
Hi lovelies,
I did a bit of shopping from H& M, so I thought I’d show you what I got along with my Get Ready with me video.
But first, what did I get?
Jewelry
I got this lovely chunky pearl earring. I think they look really nice paired with a nice spring knit or blouse. They can transform your outfit into something really glam.
Layered (-ing) necklaces
So, shell fish-y hangy stuff are all over the place. I got this necklace that is da embodiment of summer. It will look great with a V neck. You can wear it on it’s own or with other pieces.
I also got a necklace with a small circle hanging on it. I think that looks really chic.
Clothes
A wide leg pair of smart trousers. I have bought more classic looking trousers from H&M before and they are great value for money. Have washed my winter pair many times and they are still a great fit. This pair is more lightweight. The only thing I do not love about them is that they are quite high waisted.
Snake Print shirt
I β€ animal print. Most of the things I have are leopard print. That is why I bought my first snake print shirt. Ideal for going out. What do you think?
Light (knit) blouses
At 8.99 I got three. A white, a pink and a black blouse. I made the mistake of buying the pink one in XLarge and it is quite big. I bought the others in Large. They are nice and soft, a bit baggy, the sleeves do not drown you and I π them. Great basics for Spring πΉπ·πΉ
I also got this pretty hair tie which is very on trend at the moment. I really like this and it does make my hair look a bit more put together.
Now time for the Tube…
YouTube
My YouTube video is me showing you my work outfit. I wear the pink blouse, another H&M wide leg trouser, the necklace and makeup… On my face. And since I am talking about makeup, my look is a very easy everyday makeup look.

Hi lovelies,
I may not be amazing at putting on makeup or applying my creams, but I am VERY meticulous when it comes taking off makeup.
In my 42 years on da planet, I think I have never slept with makeup on.
I always take it off. My cleansing may not be very thorough when it is 4 a.m. after a night out, but it does exist and I think that is one of the reasons my skin is in such a good condition.
Today I will talk about one of my favourite cleansing products.
It does not take off layers of heavy duty makeup.
It is great for a final cleanse. The cleanse that comes after all the other cleanses. The one you do when you have used your oils to get the annoying waterproof mascara off, the non budge eye shadow stick.
It is great for the first morning wash. The one you do in the morning when you wake up and want your skin to feel fresh and soft
Texture
It is a lightweight foam. It is not a thick foam. It is actually like putting a cloud on your face (not that I know what a cloud would feel like).
Scent
It smells like chamomile. It does not linger on your face though.
Packaging
It comes in a plastic pump bottle with a pump and a clear cap. It is 150 ml
According to the Sephora website,
This product is vegan, non-toxic, cruelty-free, dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic, safe for sensitive skin, and free of all synthetic chemicals, gluten, GMOs, and fillers
Ingredients Guru
Some of the ingredients in it are:
Water, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Caprylyl Glycol,Fragrance, Coco-Betaine, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate,Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sodium Phytate, Matricaria Flower Extract, Sage Leaf Extract.
Me, me, me
My skin is dry and sensitive. It does not make my skin pull. It does not sting and it does not make my skin red. I have repurchased it many times. I str4ongly recommend you check it out.

Yesterday was colour blind awaress day and I tried to do that. Raise awareness. The main focus was on students who are colour blind, but I did post a video about my whole makeup application process and what I, as an achromat, find difficult.
Foundation/concealer
I cannot pick a shade for my skin. Whatever I use is based on what a makeup artist or sales assistant has chosen for me. I am OK with that. They are helpful. I can see if the foundation/ concealer is full or medium coverage, but I cannot see if it goes orange, if it is a cool or warm undertone.
Eye shadows
I cannot see the colours. I mean, I can see them, but not really “see” them the way you do. That is why I have ranted over and over about cosmetics companies and how they name their products. I need a clear colour name. Dark brown, light shimmery pink. What I do not need is a name like showery rainbow or unicorn breathe. That says nothing to me. It does not help me buy an eye shadow and in all fairness, it drives me away from purchasing a product with a random name. Now, as far as pigmentation is concerned, the lighter the shade, the harder it is for me to see it on my eyelid.
Lippies
Same as above. I have no idea what I am buying
But
I can see if it looks nice on me, or at least I think I can.
If you want to hear more about this, do watch my video, where I also talk about cb students and teachers.
Thanks for stopping by.
Xx

OK lovelies,
So it is hot
ββββββββββββ
and you want to go out, but you are dreading the whole makeup putting on procedure.
You just do not want your makeup to melt off coz of the humidity and the heat. That is what this blog post is here for. I will try to give you my suggestions/tips on how to achieve a sweatproof makeup look.
Keep it simple.
Make sure you use a moisturiser first.
Do not stack loads of stuff on.
I use only concealer to hide spots. If you use a foundation, use something lightweight.
Top your concealer with a powder. That will clog up your pores and reduce the sweating.
Use a waterproof mascara and no budge eye stuff.
Now, because I am also making YouTube videos and trying to lure you into subscribing to my channel, here is my makeup tutorial or better say, get ready with me. Keep in mind I am partially sighted so any makeup look that does not make me look like a clown is a little feat!!
My video
Get ready with me:how to get a sweat proof looking using only concealer.
Estee Lauder doublewear concealer
Dior forever Control Powder
Stilla liquid Eyeshadow in Grace
Benefit Gold Rush Blusher
Laura Mercier Bronzer
Rimmel Stay matte liquid lipstick in Rose a shine
Mascara Extatic
I think that was about it. Don’t forget to connect with me. Subscribing to my channel would be great.
Have a lovely day/night.
xx
Jo
Sometimes you just want a quick and easy makeup look. Something that you can apply and be ready in 5 mins. Other times it is just too hot or you are just too lazy and don’t feel like a full face of products. That is why I filmed this video and why I am sharing this post.
I am sharing with you a makeup look that requires no foundation.
πΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌπΌ
Estee Lauder Doublewear concealer. I love this concealer. It is long lasting and easy to blend into your skin. I also used my SPF which is Clinique city block. I like this sunscreen because it is a little bit tinted, but not much!
I used a Laure Mercier bronzer in 02 and my Becca Opal highlighter. I used my Benefit gold rush blush and on my lips, the Rimmel Stay Matte liquid lippie in Rose Shine.
On the eyes an eyeshadow stick (my faves are the Clinique chubby sticks) and some mascara (currently using L’oreal Paradise).
Are you intrigued??? Check out my video
