Hi everyone,
How are you? I hope you are having a lovely week. In today’s post I am going to share a new YouTube video idea I had. It is called 3 Tuesday Thoughts and I review 3 well known products and tell you what I think about them.
In today’s video I talk about Estee Lauder Doublewear which is my Go To foundation if I want a budge proof foundation and a porcelaine skin effect. I 😍 this foundation and in the video I show you how I apply it (sponge vs. brush) and what I think works.

I talk about the Stilla liquid eyeshadow in Grace. Are they worth the hype? Yes! They are opaque and stay on for a long time. I 😍 it (more details in the video -toot toot).
I finally talk about lip oils and my favourite Clarins one. It is the Instant light lip comfort Oil. The colour I have is a kinda orange. I tell you why I like it and swatch it.
If you are interested in these products, click on the video and check out for yourself. Let me know how thesebeauty products work for you. If you are looking for a new channel to watch, check out mine.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi!!
I thought I’d share with you another Five Friday Faves post video. What is Five Friday Faves? Well, I talk about Five random things I have been loving. I talk about makeup, skincare, books, clothes and more.
So, let’s start.
I love shopping from Oasis and I picked up two things during the sales; a bag and a top.

The bag has leather details, stripes, and a big bow. It has some pockets inside. It is a “chuck in everything bag”. I use mine to go shopping and stuff like that.

I also bought a lilac top. It is very lightweight material. The cute thing about it are the sleeves. They look like they are lace. So pretty.
I am a mac n’cheese kinda girl cause well it is quite hard to sustain this bod 😜. From time to time though, I slip off the unhealthy bandwagon and try something healthier. I bought my first (and not last) Kefir quark. I got it because I was looking for something good for my stomache (it is ideal if you are on antibiotics). I got the chia and raspberry flavour. It tastes a bit like a sour Greek yoghurt. It is thick and a bit sour. The seeds make it taste a bit yummier. I also add weetabix to mine and it makes a yummy filling brecki.

So, full name is Olay anti-wrinkle 2 in 1 firm and lift booster and serum. It comes with a pump. It is a serum you can use before your moisturiser or under your makeup. It does plumpen up your skin. It is for women 40+. It does not break me out or sting. I usually wear it at night and in the morning my skin feels nice and soft.

Time for some chick lit. Girl meets boy in a British UK seaside resort. There is a lighthouse. It has all that are essential for a big love story. I like it because it is funny and fast paced. A page turner coz it is fun.

I have mentioned my chubby sticks over and over. They are so easy to use. I am partially sighted (I cannot see) , so it is very easy to mess up my eye makeup. These eyeshadow sticks are very easy to control. The pigmentation is quite good. The application is super easy. It spreads evenly and does not really crease (unless you colour your lids in too much and then, yes, after a while, it may crease). I have a couple of shades, but the one I reach for most often is Fuller Fudge.

So, you can now watch my video where I talk about these faves in more detail (maybe even subscribe to my channel?? 😍😍).
Have you tried any of these products? What are your Friday faves? Let me know in the comments below. Don’t forget to “follow” my blog (or Youtube channel), so that you never miss out on my super duper rambles.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi everyone,
I have been watching Youtube makeup tutorials for a while and I really enjoy them, but they are not for me. What I mean is, I see titles like:
Makeup for glasses
Or
Get ready with me in the dark
And I kinda cringe.
You see, I have registered as partially sighted (visually impaired) and have achromatopsia (rare color deficiency). I cannot relate.
When you cannot see well, makeup tutorials for people who wear glasses cannot be intricate coz well…. you cannot see. It is as simple as that!
I filmed a Get Ready With Me video and showed how I do my makeup. When I watched it I thought to myself,
Who will watch this amateur GRWM?
But then I thought,
this IS my reality.
And the reality of many, like me. So, I shared.
GRWM
My focus is on the base (foundation). At the moment, I am using the Clinique Beyond Perfection foundation (I like it). I also choose a bold (ish) lip colour (I 😍 Clinique Pop).

My eyes usually have one colour on them. I usually use an eye shadow stick because they are easier to control and harder to mess up.
I use primers and setting sprays to hold the look together.
I do not really do smokey eyes or wings or yada, yada, yada.
Oh! And if someone is around, I ask them to check my makeup. See if everything is looking OK because I cannot seeeeeee.
You see, for me, putting on my makeup in the dark is kinda like a reality, NOT a fun YouTube click bait idea idea. So, if you are in the same boat as me, check out my video and maybe give me some tips. I will be back with more Get Ready With Me videos coz I need to be more descriptive.
This is the video
Let me know what you think.

There I was. Shocked. Feeling a bit robbed. Questioning myself. How could I not know? The mind plays tricks on us.
I thought I was red/ green colourblind. Turns out I don’t see any colours.
I have achromatopsia (or some sort of incomplete achromatopsia).
I am what is known as colourblind. Literally. So, I don’t just mix up my colours. I actually don’t even see them! Or do I?

Colour is perception. Light, rays, rods and cones all join in to send a message to the brain. The brain then ‘sees’ the light/ colour. That is my simplistic explanation. A bunch of people see the same colour and give it a name…..
green
But now I know that what I thought was colour, was probably a tone or a texture, an illumination. My images are shades of grey, white, and black with an occasional dash of pink (or something….or nothing….).
How could I not know? What games was my mind playing on me?
I have all the symptoms of an achromat
Nystagmus (wobbly iris)
Myopia
Photophobic/ photosensitive (I squint a lot and wear my sunnies all day long, even when there are clouds)
How I found out
I was so excited on Saturday. I was going to try these glasses that claimed to restore colour vision. You would put on the glasses and see colours. Of course, these glasses do not work on everyone (I was warned). I wanted to try them. But first, they needed to determine what type of coulourblindness I had. I did the tests and got the diagnosis.
Achromatopsia
Very rare (2000 people in the UK).
So, what do I do with this information?
I am still the same person.
That is what everyone is telling me.

You see colours your way.
That is what people tell me.
You still see the way you saw.
That is what everyone is telling me.
But I don’t. I don’t know what I see. I want to know what I can see. Still coming to terms with this. I have to adjust to a new normal. Was what I thought was pink or purple actually grey? Is everything grey? I am confused. Still confused.
Two days later.
During Christmas I bought the M&S advent calendar. In it there was a small facial oil. It is called.
I chucked it in my skincare stash and just forgot all about it. A couple of weeks ago I had a look at that stash and saw the facial oil again.
Do I need a face oil?
Yes!

I am 42 years old and I may not be very persistent on my skincare routine, I mean I do wear creams and stuff, but I do forget, but I never , eva sleep with my makeup on!
I am 42 years old and have never slept with makeup on!! Neva, eva! I may forget to moisturise, but never to cleanse.
Today, I am going to talk about double cleansing and some of the products I love to use. Double cleansing is part of the Asian beauty regimen.
![]()
Using two products to clean your face, to take your makeup off. Usually the first product is oil based, so the makeup melts, and the second product will have water in it, it will be milder.
I love using my L’real extraordinary oil to break down the makeup and then I go in with my simple foaming cleanser or some facial wipes. I know, I know, the beauty gurus are probably rolling their eyes.

I then go in with my Garnier Micellar Gel to take the residue of the oil off my skin. I prefer the Micellar gel to the water because, first, I do not waste any product and second, it feels like I am actually cleaning/ washing my face.It does not sting or hurt. It does not leave my skin dry (although I do need to boost it a bit afterwards, so I do lather up with oils or creams).

I also use facial wipes when I am in a hurry and then use the Micellar gel. In fact, the micellar gel is the product I use the most.
I made a video a while back where I talked in depth about double cleansing and went through loads of products. If you are intersted, do check out my YouTube video.
What cleansers do you use? Are you a fan of double cleansing? Let me know in the comments below.

Hi everyone! Time for April favourites!! I missed a month cause well, February is so short and my faves didn’t really change. I do have a few new faves I wanted to share hence the post and video.

Hi everyone!!
Today I am going to talk to you about products that made me buy… products. Minies made me do it!!
I mean, I bought the mini size of something OR was given a sample of something and ended up purchasing it. It gets better though….. Biggies (full size products) that made me buy the minies. Yup. That’s today’s post and I’d love to hear your minies/biggies purchases.
Autograph Hydrating Confidence Boost Primer (30 ml)
I got this primer because I tried the mini and loved it. It is hydrating and feels like water on the skin. If you are looking for something moisturising and hate sticky primers, you should check this out. I cannot really attest to its longevity because I am not that super duper at makeup applying, but it does feel very comfy on the skin.

It has cucumber and aloe extracts and it does make the foundation apply smoothly. The finish it gives is more matte than dewy. Also, it is cruelty free. Then again, I always buy matte foundations. You can check this product out here.
Clinique Aromatics White
I tried this when I was in a store. I loved it and asked for a sample. After I got the sample I bought a bottle and then a second bottle. This is a sexy, sophisticated scent. As I have said previously, if Chanel No5 and Talcum baby powder had a baby, it would smell like this. Notes: pepper, violet, grey amber, roses, patchouli. Y

Clinique Moisture Surge & Take the Day Off
No, this is not a Clinique sponsored post, but Clinique does give a lot of samples which is one of the reasons I love it. I got Moisture Surge and Take the Day Off balm as samples. I loved both of them and bought full sizes (and then repurchased). If your skin is dehydrated and needs a moisture boost, you need moisture surge in your life. It is amazing. It is cooling and feels like jelly. It gets absorbed fairly quickly and leaves your skin feeling as soft as a baby’s bottom. You can check it out here. If you are really into double, triple or multi cleansing like me, take the day off is something you should try. It is a balm that helps break down your makeup. When you wash it off, your skin feels nice and soft and not at all itchy or stripped.
Dove bath wash
I have tried lots of Dove minies and that is why I buy them now. They are very creamy and hydrating. They are affordable and leave a nice scent to the skin. Not extremely long lasting but nice enough to make you keep repurchasing (like me!!).
Nivea Soft Refreshingly Soft Moisturising
I suffer from dry and red hands. I have eczema and I am always using hand creams. This is one of the best creams I used as a sample and then bought a full size. It feels very cooling and lightweight. The scent is fresh and clean. It does not sting. You can use it all over your body, but I use it mostly on my hands and it does help me a lot.
N7 Airbrush Primer
I bought this primer after having tried it. You see, N& also gives lots of samples when you purchase products. It feels a bit silicon-y but not too much. It holds your makeup a fair bit but i would not say it is the best primer i have ever bought. To be pretty honest, I am not quite sure primers work for me anyhow.
Have you tried any of these products? What minies made you buy the full size version?
Don’t forget to follow my blog.
Till next time……
